2 Piece Garden (in progress)
These two canvases finish the 5 small paintings for the APW Gallery show coming up. It is a fun kind of discipline to compose with limitations of scale and in sections. I wanted to do some paintings that are consistent with my concerns as an artist. The garden in modular small scale. I played some movies with special features going while I painted, so it was like having Martin Scorsese talking to me about film making while I painted. I think it may have pushed me a little.
